OutBack – Samsung OfficeServ support

Merlinia OutBack now supports the Samsung OfficeServ line of telephone systems. Integration is via the OfficeServ OpenTSP and OfficeServ Link software products, available from Samsung.

This means that OutBack now supports the following telephone systems:
Alcatel-Lucent OmniPCX Enterprise
Alcatel-Lucent OmniPCX Office
Avaya IP Office
Samsung OfficeServ

Merlinia releases OutBack version 4.0

OutBack 4.0 has now been released. This version continues the complete technology make-over that was discussed as part of the version 3.3 news. In OutBack 4.0 the entire calendar integration function has been replaced with new programs, i.e., no more MCS (Merlinia Collaboration Server), no more COM objects, and a simplified and combined administration program. In addition, the licensing module has been replaced.

OutBack 4.0 does not include any major new features, but continues the improvements in robustness and maintainability.

OutBack 4.0 supports Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2   

Since the first beta versions of Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 became available we have tested OutBack 4.0 on those new platforms to ensure full compatibility.
We are happy to announce that OutBack 4.0 works on both the Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 operating systems that are to be released on October 22, 2009.
